Well, after the recent Google panda update article marketing is not as effective as it once was in the past. That particular update makes it quite hard to achieve big result since that update is really cracking down low quality content. I think that article marketing can be effective, if someone is willing to distribute only unique content.

Yes, there is no doubt, article marketing is one of the best medium. There are lot of directories on which we can submit our articles but we should always write quality article which is valuable for our targeted audience.

I must confess, of the few articles I have published, I have only published to ezine articles. I guess I am missing a valuable resource by not submitting to more directories.

Yes, Leon, I would suggest expanding your reach and submitting to more directories. It can have a huge impact. Check out the article directories in the link I provide, and start using them. I will be updating that list with even more.

Alan, a great continuation. Yes manual submitting is slow, but cheap. I am going to give a lot more thought to increasing my distribution. Right now I only use 4 services and don’t know if more would be beneficial or not.
