A Better Alternative To Article Marketing? Give Free Traffic System A Try

Posted by Alan Mater on Apr 17, 2009

I’m a big fan of article marketing, and anyone who knows me will agree. I wouldn’t have created a whole article marketing proof video if I wasn’t 100% positive that it helps build your business for the long term. In fact, here’s my video below…

So what’s this whole Free Traffic System all about? Free Traffic System is the new age of article marketing: it has its advantages and does not have any disadvantages.

The advantages of both article marketing and Free Traffic System are obvious – Google and other search engines welcome and will always welcome the creation of new, useful, non-duplicate content and that is why search engines look favorably upon the backlinks generated this way.

Due to this “benevolent attitude” from search engines towards links built via article marketing, thousands of people have been successfully using article marketing for years to improve their positions in search engines for their targeted keywords.

BUT, unfortunately article marketing has some serious disadvantages – let’s have a look at them:

- when others republish your article they can delete your backlinks from the article

This is a huge problem! And my previous post was exactly about this topic. The owner of GetCashOnline.org decided to use one of my articles on his blog and remove MY links from MY article and insert his own self-serving links. I hate thieves!

After you have submitted your article to one of the major article directories – you lose control over your articles. Today, lots of people are using different automatic tools to “harvest” these directories for content and republish the articles on their sites. Now, probably 95% of the people that republish these articles are honest and will keep your links, but there’s always the other 5%.

The problem is that more and more people are starting to steal your content from article directories and automatically DELETE your backlinks from the resource box. OR, they steal just a tiny portion of your content (1st paragraph of your article, for example) and give a backlink to the article directory. This is great for the article directory, but not for you! This happens quite a lot to me, and I have to be honest… it PISSES me off!

With Free Traffic System you are guaranteed that pages where your content is republished will remain with YOUR backlinks. Those blogs who break this rule and touch your links (modify them/make them invisible/delete them) will be deleted from the Free Traffic System and lose access to quality content.

- duplicate content problems

You see, when one and the same article is republished, Google quickly “understands” this is duplicate content and “sees” that a big portion of your backlinks are built from duplicate content pages. This is not dangerous and Google will not punish you for doing that, but it is rumored that Google seriously lowers the SEO value of backlinks built from duplicate content pages, or just ignores them all together.

The other problem with this is that your duplicate articles will be competing against each other, and most likely Google and other search engines will just choose only one of your articles to show up in search results.

With Free Traffic System you have all the tools necessary to make each of your articles be non-duplicate, even if the article is republished on 20, 40, 100 or even more blogs. With the help of simple procedures – that will take you only an extra 5 minutes per article – you will create dozens or even hundreds of READABLE and CONCISE versions of article titles and bodies that won’t be considered duplicate. It is all in your hands: if you decide to spend 5 minutes and use the diversification tools provided by Free Traffic System, then each of the articles republished will be unique for Google and other search engines. And this will instantly increase the value of your backlinks.

Look at the comparison table to see Free Traffic System compared vs traditional article marketing.

Alan,

Thanks for helping me out with the nitty gritty of this FTS article submission. I must say after going through one article submission, I’ve found it easy to use. This tool seems pretty intelligent and I wait with bated breath the backlinks, 60 of them if I remember right. I also added one other blog in the system to get free content.

@Work At Home Blog, Hey Peter, You’re quite welcome.

After you go through it once it becomes quite easy. The amount of backlinks you can get from this is quite amazing to say the least. Much better than traditional article marketing, and all are relevant.

I too added one of my blogs to get free and unique content. This is system is great. I found out they’re going to be offering a paid membership as well. But, the free membership works well enough for most.

I just wish article marketing wouldn’t get so redundant in the topics and writing styles..

@Melody, Hi Melody, welcome to my blog. It’s great to see you here.

I agree. There’s too many articles that cover the same topics over and over again that don’t give us any unique and fresh content.

This is one way that as a marketer you can stand out from others by providing real value and helping others through articles.

Alan,

So for each article you submitted to 30 blogs. I assume the blog owners need to approve them. As a matter of curiosity, did all the 30 blog owners approve your article. So how many backlinks have you received for your article submission.

@Work At Home Blog, Well, as I have articles posted to my blog, I make sure that it’s relevant and has a place, otherwise I delete it. Keep in mind the articles get posted instantly. If you pick relevant blogs and relevant categories within those blogs, you shouldn’t have a problem.

I really don’t know of any way to gauge how many backlinks you get for each article. The only thing I can suggest is to use a tool like Link Popularity (http://www.seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/link-popularity.html) to view the number of backlinks on your site. You should see the number increase as you use this system.

With something like this, you would almost have to know the URL for every blog that you’ve ever added your articles to and then monitor the number of inbound links from each blog.

Google Alerts has given me some of them, but it’s almost impossible to get all of them as you don’t know what they are when choosing the blogs. You could possibly do a search for the name of the blog and see if it brings up the right one.

That’s the only thing I can think of. It would be quite time consuming but worth it if you really want to know.

Hi Alan,

I’ve actually tried Free Traffic System and in my opinion, I think it works really well. I even submitted my own blog and I get around 1-2 new posts per week. It’s a great way to get fresh content as well. And you know what they say…content is king :D

@Nancy@Life Insurance Quotes, Hi Nancy, welcome, and thanks for stopping by.

The great thing about this system is that, as you said, it DOES work. You’re absolutely right… content is king for sure. What’s great about the content that gets posted to your blog is that with this system it is completely unique, which is ten times better.

I’m glad to hear you like it.

@almir, Great to hear. Article directories are still worth the time, though. The directories I use and recommend can be found at http://www.replaceyoursalary.com/article-marketing.html. I get traffic from them, and they get picked up by publishers quite frequently.

The Free Traffic System can be used as a secondary tool to broaden your marketing and backlink building even further. I would use both, though.

I hated writing as well, but it’s one of the best strategies in building and marketing an online business that it just can’t be ignored.

Hey Alan, nice post! I use FTS as well, and I really like it. Just wondering, can you only add Wordpress Blogs into the system?

[Reply]

Alan MaterNo Gravatar

@aaron herman, Hi Aaron, that’s a great question. You can add a link to any site you want. It doesn’t have to be a Wordpress blog. Just enter any URL and the keywords you want to use as the anchor text and that’s it. You could even use affiliate links with this.

Just wanted to let people know, you can go into the FTS stats page and see where your articles have been posted. That way you can double check that you’re getting your backlinks.

[Reply]

Alan MaterNo Gravatar

@aaron herman, Thanks for sharing that, Aaron. That is something I probably should have mentioned. For some reason I always get the occasional error with some blogs, so I’m guessing I don’t get those backlinks? Does that happen to you at all?

[Reply]

aaron hermanNo Gravatar

@Alan Mater, I haven’t found any yet, though I’ll admit that I don’t have time to double check every one. Are the errors in your links, or in the articles? In the articles shouldn’t affect the links, but obviously an error in a link will cause you to lose that link.

[Reply]

Alan MaterNo Gravatar

@aaron herman, The error is in the status. For example, some return a message like “Invalid return payload” or “No data received from server.” Errors like that I would assume I’m not getting a backlink for.

[Reply]

@Alan Mater, I haven’t come across these errors, but I would agree that you probably won’t receive links from them. I will be keeping an eye out for them though!

[Reply]

@aaron herman, I don’t know if it’s just certain blogs or what, but it happens a few times with each article. I’m not too worried about it, though, as I still get a lot of backlinks.
