Well, unfortunately, the bad news reached my dad when he was notified yesterday that he was being let go. I guess he kind of saw it coming with business being slow. There’s a chance he’ll be called back, but no promises.

I’ve just embarked on self-employment and working from home. Lots of challenges to face, but I hope that the rewards will be worth it. Just being at home with my young son is already improving the quality of my life – now all I need to do is make some money…
