It’s Official – Alan Mater is an EzineArticles.com Expert Author
Aside from the usual perks you receive when you become an Ezine Articles Expert Author, I wasn’t aware that they actually mail you some goodies as well. Pretty nice of them actually. You can see the cool coaster on the left, and I’ll post pictures of the mug below.
Inside the mug was a packet of gourmet coffee, which I’ll never use. If you want it, leave a comment or email me with your address and I’ll ship it to you free of charge. I only have one, though, so be quick about it.
It’s nice to get perks like this, and I’m sure all the other Expert Authors feel the same way. It helps to encourage authors to continue sending their articles and makes them feel appreciated.
Becoming an Expert Author really isn’t that difficult, and if you’re serious about making a name for yourself and your work from home business, then cranking out, say 60 articles, shouldn’t be all that difficult. If you can’t or don’t like to write, just outsource the work for a small fee.
No matter what you do, incorporate article marketing into your daily, or weekly, marketing habits. You’ll establish yourself as an “Expert” and build targeted traffic to your site. And, you’ll build quality backlinks to your site which will increase its ranking in Google.
Okay… here’s the cool mug.
I know you’re all jealous…

From Alan to another,
Congratulations! I just recently started my blog. Article writing is something I intend to do in the near future.
All the best,

@Alan Eames, Thanks! Article writing is definitely worth the time, and I’m sure you’ll find that out when you get started.

That is a cool mug Alan! I must agree, writting unique content on a subject you love should not be a problem, even if the subject is thin, writting 20/30 articles off the top of your head should be easy. As long as you take care to write real content for real readers, as opposed to just writting for search engines, you will add real value to your business and then, and only then, will you begin to increase ‘quality’ traffic.

@Company Health Plans, Writing for the readers is definitely more important than writing for the search engines. People are the ones who are going to actually be reading what you write, so it’s important to provide value and substance.
Thanks for your input, and hope to see you around more often.

A packet of gourmet coffee? Nope… I won’t ask you that… It’s costly sending that single item to the other side of the world (just kidding)…(Bdw, where are you living?)… Back to the article, how many articles you need to submit to EzineArticles making you an Expert Author?

I live in central PA. If you’re somewhere in the U.S. I’ll be happy to mail it to you.
I’d rather see it get used than go to waste.

I’m not sure exactly how many articles you need to become an Expert Author. I think it varies for everyone, but I could be wrong. I believe I had just about 60 articles before I got the notice.

@Dennis Edell @ Direct Sales Marketing,
I think you pointed that out to me long ago. I see it when I’m not logged in. Probably a simple setting change would fix it.
Right now I only see one when I’m logged in and looking at the new theme. If it’s still there after I roll out the new theme, then I’ll get it fixed. Too many other things to do right now.

@Alan Mater, Hmm yes, perhaps it was there before; I didn’t notice it since until now though…..something changed, then changed back in between?

I have no idea. I never really paid attention to it until you brought it up again. Pretty sure it’s a simple setting change. Let me know tomorrow if it’s still there as I’m announcing the new theme and what not.

LOL… just crank out around 60 articles.
If you’re knowledgeable about a particular topic, it’s really not that hard. Plus, I think I mentioned that I outsource some writing as well.

@Alan Mater, @Alan Mater, Yeah article writing doesn’t really have to be top notch work so I guess that’s a good idea. I’m thinking about that since I don’t have enough time. I’m in a constant struggle with time (as you might have noticed) and I think I work pretty fast already! And it’s not the I don’t have any ideas problem either, I just think a lot faster than I can execute any of it. (Well duh XD)

@Mici @ Click On Portal,
I think many people have that problem; myself included. I have a ton of ideas, and little to no time to actually execute any of them. Outsourcing helps in a major way.
