This is probably a question that gets asked all too often, and for good reason, really. There’s many people looking to work from home, and finding legitimate opportunities can be a downright pain. It doesn’t have to be, though.

It’s going to be a time-consuming process, as you need to define your goals, needs and interests. These should all line up with the job you’re interested in. There are literally thousands of opportunities out there, both offline and online. It’s not something you want to rush into.

Here’s a short story about how I started working online (If you even care lol)…

5 years ago when I was working a full-time job, I had the desire to work for myself. I knew people were making money online, so I started searching for jobs or opportunities. I used search engines like Google and MSN (at the time) and looked at hundreds of results.

Now before the marketing contest began, we posted how many inbound links we had to our site as well current Alexa ranking. The winner of the contest is the one who has the biggest positive difference of those numbers and what those numbers are at the end of the contest.

The PPG marketing contest runs for 6 weeks, and this is day 2 of the contest. So far I’ve been able to manage to meet the requirements for yesterday, and I’m on a good track to meet them for today.

Doing these tasks everyday will make a positive impact on my business. Looking at this, this should give YOU a good idea of what is needed to take your online business to the next level.

They will have been in business for more than a couple years. Preferably five or even ten years. They will have testimonials by the truck load from marketers who started with very low web marketing skills. Experienced marketers could sell snow cones to Eskimos in Arctic weather. They can make any awful program work! Please understand this very important point. You want and need someone who has the capability of hand-holding you through the learning process. Someone who has dramatic, professional and even funny videos to apply to many business cases. Quality referral web sites are a must. If these are not available save yourself the future grief and move on. You want warm enthusiastic people to work with who will pull you to success. No one can do it all for you. That is a big lie we have all seen over the years in many business fields. A very few companies do have the goods to show you the way. Please note I said a very few companies.
