Flip Switch Profits Review

googlewayThe following is a guest post by Darrell Lischka of about-internetmarketing.com.

You decided that you had enough at your job and want to start building an online business to make money. Great, welcome to the internet club. Now what are you going to do? In today’s article, I will describe the process of creating an authority site and how you rank it on page 1.

The article will go over the essential elements that one should focus their time on, if they truly want to see results. This is not the fluff type of article that tells you how to make 10K a month in only 3 months. Nope, far from it, because if you truly want financial freedom, then you will have to pay a price to fire your boss. My article will cover keyword research, domains, back linking strategies to rank on page 1, niche marketing ideas and strategies, and even mentioning some software that will leverage your time more effectively.

The fact is Google is the most popular search engine and because of that, my methods will be related to ranking well on their search engine.

Authority Site

My definition of an authority site is simple. It’s a website that ranks on page 1 of G. The fact is authority sites come in all types and sizes. They can range from a 1 page website, to hundreds of pages.

How to make money with proper keyword research

When I first got started, I listened to someone that I honestly believed knew what they were talking about. I found out later, they were just trying to up sell me with their own marketing system. So I learned the hard way and wasted a lot of time trying to figure out keyword research. I was new at this SEO game several years ago. I made the same mistakes the that newbies make, by going after the big keyword categories. Forget the big keywords when you are starting off. Go after the low competitive terms. It will literally save you time, money and of course some sleepless nights.

Niche Marketing Tactics – What The A-Listers Won’t Tell You

My advice in terms of niche marketing ideas and niche marketing strategies, is to start at the low end and work your way up the keyword ladder. For example, search for key phrases that range between 10 to 20 searches a day. Your competitors will be lower in that niche market, than attempting to rank for large key phrase categories. Better to start out small, build up your rankings for a number of low phrases and start earning some cash, than waiting 6 to 12 months or more to see results. Successful individuals who earn money online, use this approach all the time.

Domains

Before you register any domain names, first get your keyword research out of the way. The reason, you should when possible, try and include your keyword phrase in your domain name. You certainly don’t have to, but it will give you a little extra SEO juice based on personal experience. You can of course take any domain name and rank it on page 1 for essentially any keyword category. But any advantage that you can get, make sure you do because your competitors are doing it.

Another tip that you can do when registering a domain name, is to see if there’s a domain available for sale with that term. Now, I would never suggest you invest hundreds or thousands of dollars, but depending on the niche and your financial situation, it might be worth it. I would suggest you only do this when you have some experience first.

The Importance of Getting Back Links

Back-links are the back bone of the ranking game. One way links should be mostly external, but you will also need to do some internal linking within your website. An external links means, when you post an article at an article directory like Ezine Articles, you hyper link your keyword term back to your website. That is what the SEO community means by back links.

As well, you can improve your own site by making sure your internal link structure is set up correctly. For example, for some of your pages within your website, link that page back to your home page. Don’t do it for all of them, but a few of them. As well, you can pass some link juice from 1 page to another page. Those little tips can again, give you a little bump in the rankings.

To Rank Well – You Need a Back Linking Plan

Now that I covered what external and internal links are, lets discuss how you go about getting the maximum back links for your website. It really revolves around creating content and submitting it to various article directories and Ezine directories. The most popular is Ezine articles. The best thing to do is simply type in top article directories or do follow article directories in G to get a list. There are literally thousands of places to post content.

My general approach is to post 5 to 10 unique articles at the top article directories and move on. However, there is one key piece of information that must do, to rank well and make your site strong. When you link back to your website, make sure you are deep linking 80% of the time to pages and actual articles on your website.

If you are confused, just hang on for a minute. Deep linking means your URL that you hyperlink from your article will link to an actual article within your site. Fail to do this for competitive terms and you will likely never rank on page 1. Trust me, I have made this mistake in the beginning.

You can help you website by doing some comment marketing at other forums and websites. My only caution is to make sure you add value to the discussion and not some spam type comment. Over time, you will gain recognition as someone that can be trusted and other readers in time, might start checking out your site. The more readers that go to your site and spend time there, will count towards the overall ranking game because how much time someone spends at your site is part of the algorithm for Google or better known as the bounce rate.

One final comment about back links. They are not created equally. For example a back link from Ezine articles is not the same as a back link from a brand new article directory. So, when posting your content, go for established and authority directories. To look natural, you will end up with a variety of links for all over the place. Just getting high quality back links could flag Google and that’s the last thing you want is a manual inspection and get de-indexed from the search results.

Strategies To Help Your Article Marketing Efforts

If you struggle for time like most people because they work full time, you can leverage your time more effectively by looking at software tools that help you create more versions of your article. They are referred to as article spinners or an article rewriter. If used properly, you can create dozens of unique versions. Just keep in mind, you still want quality content, but I have found it saves me time on manually editing articles and being able to post to more places.

Well, there you have the essential elements on building and ranking an authority site. Just keep in mind, start with good keyword research, picking the right domain name, niche marketing strategies and the most important part, building back links for your website.

If you want to dramatically improve your article marketing efforts and get more back links to rank higher in the search engines, Go Here: Article Rewriter.

March is gone, and April is here. It came fast! I’m sure loving the beautiful weather we’ve been having. Definitely can’t complain about that. Seems as though we completely skipped Spring and went straight to Summer, already hitting over 80 degrees! Crazy, I know.

Anyway, here are my blog posts from last month worth reading (again maybe?). If you found them helpful you’re welcome to post a comment letting me know, or if you have a question then ask away. Seriously, don’t be shy here.

Finding Your Perfect and Profitable Niche on the Internet

Write Online Product Reviews to Make Money Online

Again, feel free to comment on my posts, and if you’re feeling really nice, hit that little green ReTweet button. I’d appreciate the love. And, you may want to follow me on Twitter so you don’t miss any updates.

Stay cool, and have a Happy Easter tomorrow.

How many of you prefer to read online product reviews of products you’re interested in buying… before you actually buy?

My guess is that the majority of you would probably answer “yes.”

I admit, I’m a nut when it comes to reading product reviews. I must have spent hours sifting through review after review from customers who bought GPS systems, before I finally decided which one I should get. I went with a Garmin nüvi 255W – the 4.3 inch Widescreen model.

The point is that many people prefer to read online reviews before they actually go ahead and buy something. It’s no surprise that there’s many product review sites for just about every product imaginable, for both physical and downloadable products.

What IS surprising is that not many people take advantage of writing online product reviews on their blogs. This is not only a great way to inform your readers, but it’s also a great way for you to earn additional income.

Have you bought any products recently? Maybe you downloaded an ebook that you found really helpful. Why not write a review about it? Chances are there may be someone looking for information regarding the ebook you just read. Maybe they’re not even aware of such an ebook even exists. This could be your chance to introduce your readers to it so that maybe it can help them too.

Let’s take this idea a step further. Writing well thought-out and unbiased reviews can be quite time-consuming, and I would know. So, it only makes sense if you’re compensated for your efforts, right?

Going back to the remarkable ebook you just read – is there an affiliate program for it? If so, include your affiliate link in your review. If you provide valuable and factual information about the ebook and focus on both the pros and cons, chances are your readers will click the link to learn more about it. If they feel it’s worth buying, you just earned a commission.

Almost every ebook or downloadable product you find nowadays will have an affiliate program of some kind.

A word of caution here: Don’t just write reviews for any ‘ole product just so you can make money. The point of writing online product reviews is to provide your own personal experience – meaning you’ve actually used the product and find it helpful, and you think others might too.

This same method can be applied to physical products as well. A majority of products can be found on Amazon or eBay. Both sites have affiliate programs, and if you refer people to products on either site, you’ll get paid a percentage of the selling price.

A great example of writing a review for a physical product can be found at this post: The Official Alibaba.com Success Guide. I wrote this post based on a book I read about entrepreneurship and finding success selling products online. The book is an excellent read and thought you (my readers) would find it interesting. As of right now, four of you felt that it was worth buying. That’s cool! Great to know at least some of you read what I say. ;)

Granted the amount of money you can make with Amazon is mere cents, but something is better than nothing. I usually prefer to write reviews for digital products because the commission you can earn is a lot more. Of course, I’ll only write a review if I feel the product is worthy enough to promote.

Here are some other online product reviews I’ve written on this blog:

Hopefully you’ll have an idea of how to write product reviews. But since I’m not the best writer (by far), here’s an article on How To Write Product Reviews that Convert.

AffiliateMarketingWhen I first came online, I didn’t have a clue what I was doing or even know where to start. All I knew was that I wanted to make money online. A passion that has stuck with me even till today.

Once I was introduced to affiliate marketing, it started to make sense to me. Of course, everyone made it sound so easy. You know, the pie in the sky, hyped up promises… and so on and so forth.

I can assure you it’s not quite that easy, but that didn’t stop me from pursuing my passion and finally getting my own little slice of pie.

At the time I didn’t know anything about niches and why I should target a small niche rather than diving into a huge niche, such as the “work from home” niche. As it turns out, that’s why it’s been a struggle for me. Had I started over and did my research first, I would’ve gotten into a smaller niche where I could get my slice of the pie more quickly and maybe even get more than one slice.

But, while the “work from home” niche has its struggles, the rewards can be huge once you do gain momentum and become an authority site. Afterall, it’s one of the biggest niches on the entire internet.

I’m not going to tell you what niche you should or should not get into, but rather explain why affiliate marketing should be your choice for making money online. I believe it’s the way to go for most people… at least in the beginning.

Here’s 3 reasons why you should choose affiliate marketing:

  1. You don’t need your own product – Unless you already have a solid plan in your mind from the start, a product is the furthest thing from people’s minds when they’re just looking for some extra income. This is why affiliate marketing is lucrative because it allows people to capitalize on other people’s products.
  2. No special training required – One of the best things, I think, about affiliate marketing is that you can jump right into it head first without having a clue what you’re doing. That sounds like a bad thing, but when you think about it, there’s no better way to learn something than to just do it. And, affiliate marketing allows for this. You can learn while you go, and if you somehow manage to really mess up, there’s usually plenty of leeway for this and can easily be fixed.
  3. Zero cost is required – Seriously, you can start making money with affiliate marketing for absolutely no money out of your pocket. Of course, there will come a time when you’ll want to setup your own website/blog, but the cost is less than $100 a year. But, that’s not necessary in the beginning, although I highly recommend it as it will help you further along from the start.

Now, rather than going for the big bucks at the beginning and picking a very competative niche, I recommend finding a smaller niche to start with. Besides, you can make a lot of money even with smaller niches, believe it or not.

What are you passionate about? Do you have a hobby?

Answering these questions will help you determine what niche you may want to get started in. It helps to like what you’re doing, not to mention being knowledgeable in that area will help tremendously.

Stay tuned as my upcoming post will detail how you can determine if the niche you want to get into will be profitable or not. You don’t want to waste your time if there’s not a big enough market in your niche. Weeding out the profitable niches from the duds will aide you in your decision.

In the meantime, here’s some homework for you. Write down all the hobbies and interests you have on a piece of paper. You could have 1 or 15… It doesn’t matter. Jot them down and save them for my next post as you’ll be using this list to narrow down your interests and hobbies to just one that you’ll target for your affiliate marketing venture.

However, if you want to skip this and go right for the big bucks and target the “work from home” niche (the most money online is spent in this niche) just as I am, I recommend reading this post.

See you soon. :)

If you’ve ever wanted a legitimate way to use Twitter to make money, then this is it. The site is called Sokule and literally stands for “so cool.”

From what I’ve seen so far, it really is SO KULE!

There’s been attempts to monetize Twitter before, and there are some sites that post ads to your twitter account while paying your for those posts. The problem is that it junks up Twitter and could potentially turn your followers against you if they figure out what’s going on.

So, those methods of making money aren’t very reliable and may not last long at all. Heck, Twitter themselves haven’t even monetized the site.

What Sokule does is really very “kule” in the way you earn money. Instead of posting ads on Twitter through your account, you earn money through the Sokule site instead.

Sokule is almost identical to Twitter in that you post 140 characters for your “followers” to see. Followers on Sokule are called Trackers. In reality, you’re making money using Sokule, but it also utilized Twitter. Let me explain.

Sokule is just like Twitter where you make posts and get “followers” and also “follow” others. But, posting on Sokule will also make that same post to Twitter for you, once you set it up. And, the post on Twitter will contain a link at the end that points to your Sokule page.

See how “kule” this is? It get’s better because Sokule let’s you monetize your page, allowing you to post affiliate links, program links, videos and ads. This is one way you make money.

Sokule also has different levels of membership. With Sokule’s affiliate program, when you refer other members to the site, you can earn money if they sign up for a paid membership. Sign up is free, but the paid memberships offer a lot more than just the free membership. I highly recommend the paid membership if you want to really take full advantage of what Sokule offers.

There’s more I can say, but just go to Sokule and check it out for yourself. View the benefits between the free and paid memberships and see which would be a better fit for you.

As always, I’d love to read your comments. So leave them below. :)

NameCheap.com has become quite popular among internet marketers and online business owners. Their name alone is a good indication of why this is.

NameCheap offers cheap domain name registration. Nowadays it’s not uncommon to have more than one domain or website for your business or just personal interests. Having a place to manage and keep track of all of those domains in one place is absolutely critical.

With close to 50,000 new domains registered every single day (http://www.domaintools.com/internet-statistics/), there’s a lot of money to be made. Joining an affiliate program for a well established domain registration company is a good idea.

I personally can’t think of a better company than NameCheap.com. Ever since I had my domains transferred to them I’ve been more than pleased. Read my post on HostGator web hosting to read about why I use NameCheap and why you should too.

NameCheap has just started an affiliate program that allows you to earn 15% on new purchases that you refer. I’m very excited that they’re offering such a program, and I imagine this will boost their presence on the web even more.

Here’s what NameCheap can do for you:

  • Free URL Forwarding – Direct & Cloaked With No Ads
  • Free Email Forwarding (No Ads) – you@yourdomain.com -> ISP
  • Free Parking Page Included – Your Domain will not go unresolved
  • Free Transfer of Ownership
  • Free Dynamic DNS With Client
  • Free Security Features – Registrar Lock etc…
  • Full Control of Your Domain
  • Advanced Control Panel – One of the best in the industry
  • Custom DNS Settings – CNAME, A, MX, MXE Supported
  • Custom Nameserver Registration
  • Friendly Customer Support
  • Optional Whois Protection – Using WhoisGuard Product
  • Geotrust RapidSSL certificates for as low as $9.95 per year

If you’re not yet using NameCheap to take control of your domains, I highly recommend you do. Just go to NameCheap.com and get signed up. If you currently own a domain, or multiple domains, you can easily transfer them. They even offer coupon codes, so you can transfer or buy at a cheaper price.

I would also advise signing up for their affiliate program to start earning your share of new domain registrations that take place every day. It’s free to sign up and only takes a minute.

I would recommend that if you don’t use NameCheap to mange your domains, that you first transfer your domains over to them before signing up for their affiliate program. This way you can give a personal touch with your marketing efforts and have a better understanding of what they do and how they can help others.

People are more willing to sign up for something when they see a review from someone else who uses them. This applies to any affiliate program or product that you promote. It helps establish credibility and allows you to brand yourself in the process. That’s my marketing tip for the day. ;)

Let me know your thoughts on NameCheap’s new affiliate program by leaving a comment below…

I’ve been running Google Adsense ads on my website for well over a year now. I’ve made a decent amount of money from it so far, but not enough to get overly excited about. I know many who make a living from Adsense alone, but there are those who would rather use an Adsense alternative.

If you’re currently using Google Adsense, or perhaps Google banned your account (read this post by Peter Lee to find out how to prevent it from happening to you), and you’re looking for an alternative to Adsense, you may be interested in Yarie.com.

Yarie doesn’t automatically generate content related ads like Google Adsense, but instead, the ad categories are pre-chosen for you based on the niche of your website. For example, my site is geared towards the work from home and make money online niche. The categories that they choose would revolve around the niche, sort of like a sub-niche, if you will.

The best example of this would be on this site. If you go to my Replace Your Salary home page, look at the top right sidebar, and you’ll notice the heading “Real Online Jobs.” Below the heading are online job categories, which are the ads.

There’s not as much customization available to you as there is with Google Adsense ads, but so far I’ve seen good results. I’ve been running these ads from Yarie for two months now, which have actually made me more money than my Adsense ads.

Check out the screenshot below of my earnings for the past two months of using Yarie:

It’s not a whole lot, but consider the fact that this is completely automated, and I do nothing extra.

Setup is easy as well, although a little more complicated than with Adsense. You’ll have a piece of code to place anywhere on your site that you want the ads to show up, just like with Adsense. The difference is that you’ll also have to create another web page and upload it to your server. Details will be given to you and are easy to follow.

Once you’re setup, you’ll want to place the ads as close to the top of your page as possible. The closer to the top, the better the click-through-rate you’re going to get.

Right now I only have Yarie ads on my home page, and as I said, they’re performing better than my Adsense ads that I have on many different pages. I believe Yarie is a very good Google Adsense alternative, and I will continue to use them.

**UPDATE**

Moments after writing this review, I got a check in the mail in the amount of $43.20 for July’s earnings. See scan below:

Are you looking for an Adsense alternative? What do you think about Yarie from reading this post? Leave your comments below…

All of us come across Ads that say: Work From Home, Make Money Online, Get paid for surveys, Get paid to read emails, Get paid to click, Business opportunities etc… Oh my gosh! Is it really so easy to earn money!

Please stop buying those ebooks and make money stuff. Let me tell you that all that you need to know NOW for FREE! Most of us online money seekers have lost hundreds or thousands of dollars searching for the holy-grail OR the single secret to riches!

How many have succeeded ? Very few. OK, now let’s get to the point. What makes money ? Yes, the correct answer is sales. But how do we make sales online ? Yes, using a website that sells valuable products or services. OK, the website is READY. Now what? We need traffic. Lots of it… i.e. Targeted prospects who will give at least a minute of their valuable time to read what we have offered on our website.

Now here is the catch! How to get targeted traffic ? Please don’t buy it using the guaranteed visitors/hits option. Lots of crooks make money selling guaranteed hits to dreamers like us who feel it will produce results. Sorry to say, but that 100,000 hits for $50 doesn’t work. If it was that easy, then at least half of the world would have been RICH. But that has not happened yet because it’s tough to make money till we know how to make it. One more thing to remember, a source of traffic that works for a website does not mean same traffic will work for another website. Otherwise I would have listed all traffic resources here right for you to start using and make instant profit.

These are the only things you need to Make Money Online :

1. Your own email list/ezine. Well, this is like a cash cow. You can milk it whenever you want. Just don’t over do it otherwise the cow will run away! Send emails to the members about your products/services every 3 or 7 days.

You will get sales if the emails build trust and showcase you as an expert & friend. One dollar per month per member is what you can earn on an average. So have a list of 10,000 and you will earn about 10,000 dollars per month. The more members, the more money! Join & promote email list building programs.

2. Join & promote Traffic/click-thru exchange programs.

3. Use network marketing to leverage your income. Also earn residual profits. Residual income is the one that keeps coming for a sale/activity made just once. Leveraged income is earning from other people’s efforts. The day is too short and working lot of time does not make sense. Spare more time towards your loved ones. Help your downline in the MLM earn money. They will work and you will earn. It’s as simple as that. It is better to get paid 1% of 100 people’s efforts then we doing the 100% work.

Got it? OK. Then join and promote a reliable & product driven MLM today. If you have already joined it, then promote it like crazy. But DO NOT spam! Spam is illegal and offensive. Use PPC to get instant traffic. Targeted traffic is like watering a plant. The only exception is that the plant gets drowned if we put 10,000 liters of water but an internet business doesn’t get drowned with that much of targeted traffic. An Internet business prospers. More traffic = more money. Just ensure that the visitors are really interested in what you offer.

4. Do not simply post to FFAs. Do it only after you have your OWN FFA page online. When people will post Ads to your FFA page, they will get an email from you about the confirmation. This is an opportunity for you to get the word out about your products/services.

5. Stay in touch with successful people who have made money online. Regularly communicate with your sponsors/upline in MLM programs that you join.Take their help to learn more about internet marketing.

6. Use autoresponders and lead capture pages to create a profit making funnel which accepts leads & creates downline members who act as leaders and NOT as followers.

Work From Home. Spend more time with your family. Work really hard for at least the first 2 years to live your dreams for the rest of your life. Wish you all the best!

A while ago I had posted a question on the Warrior Forum about how to find a profitable niche. That question received some great responses, and I thought I’d share with you some ways you can find a profitable niche, even during the recession.

One thing I would just like to add is that it’s important to get into something that you have a personal interest in. There’s no point in creating a website in hopes of selling something if you have absolutely no interest in the products or idea.

For instance, I have an interest in video games. I have quite a few different gaming consoles, and I’ll every now and then take some time to play. Because of that, I decided to start a website related to the Nintendo video games niche.

I used some of the responses to my question to gauge exactly what niche I should go into. Here is some feedback (in my own words) of how to go about finding a profitable niche. And keep in mind… you want to make a profit here, otherwise it’s not worth it.

First, you want to find a “hungry” market. In other words, you want to find buyers for whatever it is you’re thinking of selling.

Once you find a hungry market, or niche, you need to gauge how much competition there is for that market. High competition isn’t always bad. That means there is money to be made. Too low of competition could mean there’s not a hungry market. But, that could also mean you have the chance to make some serious money due to the low competition and the need within that market. It requires some research, but more often than not, go after niches WITH competition.

So this brings the question… how do you go about finding a niche and also determining the amount of competition?

Here’s some strategies to find a hungry niche:

  1. Search the term in Google, if there are a lot of advertisers at the right column of the results page, it’s likely a good one. These are ads that people are paying for.
  2. Search on CBEngine.com. See what products are hot right now and what niche they’re in.
  3. Search on Amazon.com. Check if there are books, CDs, etc. that sells to that niche.
  4. If you’re looking to sell software, check Download.com, etc.
  5. See if there are at least 3 forums in the niche you’re looking to get into.
  6. Use Google Trends, eBay Pulse and Yahoo’s Top Searched to find out what people want.

Here’s some advice that would be very relevant to today’s economy. Find a lower priced niche that targets towards people’s needs more directly rather than expensive isolated niches.

How to determine the amount of competition

I recommend reading How To: Evaluating Competition For New Site Niches as Dennis Edell posted an article by Donna Fontenot that provides some great insight on this very topic.

Also, use tools such as Google Keyword Tool and SpyFu to find out how many competitors you could be dealing with. If you’re focusing on specific keywords, do a simple search in Google and see how many websites show up for that keyword phrase.

Another tool I highly recommend is Detecting Online Commercial Intention: Audience Intelligence: adCenter Labs. This is to see if your particular keywords are profitability-oriented (example: people searching for “acne” want info. People searching for “acne cure” want a solution/product).

There’s a lot more I could share with you, but that should give you a pretty good start in finding a profitable niche you can use to make money on the internet.

If you want to fast-track your learning curve in finding a profitable niche and have all the hard work done for you, I recommend you check out the Niche Power Group.

Did you learn anything from this article? Is there anything you would like to add? I’d love to hear your feedback.
