With industries downsizing, jobs being outsourced, and many individuals finding themselves out of work, there has been a surge in the home business industry. It’s no wonder, too, with many more opportunities available to those looking to stray from the norm.

Working at home owning your own business can be more of a reality than many realize, but fortunately, many are realizing that this is true and jumping on the home business bandwagon.

If you find yourself in the middle of looking for a job and happen to live in the Los Angeles, CA area, there’s an opportunity this coming weekend you don’t want to overlook.

Work at Home Business Expo

November 13th and 14th, the Fairplex Expo Center at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds is holding a Home Business Expo for anyone that has ever considered a home based business but have been hesitant to invest without meeting representatives from the company face-to-face.

The fear of getting scammed has many reluctant to ever get started with a home business opportunity of any kind, online and offline. I know this to be true as I get emails every now and then from people claiming their fears and not knowing who to trust. It’s a shame because there are many legitimate companies out there that are adamant about helping people, rather than scamming them.

My goal with this site and blog is to reassure people that yes, you can make money online or offline with your own home business.

That’s the purpose of this Expo as well. People are still worried about the economy, and if you’re looking to spend more time with your family or work around the tough economic conditions, there are a variety of work at home plans that could fit your needs.

What You’ll Find at the Expo

The featured Keynote speaker is Dr. Laura Schlessinger, who is a long-time supporter of Home Based Business Opportunities. Laura will be attending the event to give key advice to attendees who either already have an at-home business or are looking to start.

The first 100 people that visit Dr. Laura’s table will receive a complimentary copy of one of her books.

Now, if you can’t make it to the Expo or don’t happen to live in the Los Angeles area like myself, but you’re still interested in starting your own online home business, here are a list of opportunities that I’ve found to be legitimate and worth looking into:

Some of the opportunities are similar in nature, while others are unique in their own way. In any case, there should be something there that will fit your interest. If not, let me know!

“Some say opportunity knocks only once. That is not true. Opportunity knocks all the time, but you have to be ready for it. If the chance comes, you must have the equipment to take advantage of it.” ~  Louis L’Amour
