I had made this offer available to my newsletter subscribers only, but seeing as how I apparently don’t have any serious subscribers, I have decided to open this up to anyone.

I honestly can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t jump on an offer like I’m about to propose. There’s no risk involved, and so much to gain.

Here’s the deal…

I’m looking for a few people who seriously want to start making money online. I’m talking about people who don’t have a clue about this business and want to get started on the right foot. If you’re completely new to internet/affiliate marketing, and you’re ready to take action and positive steps towards your financial future, then this offer is for you.

I’ll give you $10 if you take me up on this. There’s no time limit.

This offer was originally limited to the first 5 people, but I’ve decided to offer this to everyone who takes advantage of this. So every single person who signs up for a HostGator account through my link will receive $10 from me.

Here’s what you need to do…

1. Sign up for a web hosting account with HostGator. Those are my affiliate links. During the sign-up process, enter coupon code “wordpress” (without quotes) to get started for just 1 cent ($0.01). It’s very important that you do this, otherwise you’ll be paying more than you have to.

2. Register a domain name with NameCheap. Again, my affiliate link. The cost is less than $10.

Keep in mind that your domain name should describe what your website will be about. This website will be the starting block for your “business,” so take some time in choosing a good domain name. Don’t make this complicated, though.

3. Email me your receipt of purchase from HostGator and NameCheap. Once I confirm that you have purchased both through my affiliate links, I will send you $10 through PayPal. Send me your PayPal email address at this time as well.

I’m basically refunding the $9.95 you spent for your domain name and the $0.01 for hosting, so there is absolutely zero cost to you.

NOTE:

I highly recommend clearing your internet cache and cookies before clicking on my links above. This will ensure I get credit when you purchase through them.

Once everything is underway, I will setup your blog for you and teach you how to start marketing and making money with your new blog. This is where the real value of my offer is. This is crucial to your success, and I’m going to help you get there.

IMPORTANT:

I’m looking for people who are serious about this and want to start taking the steps to change their life. The most important step is the first one… and that is simply to TAKE ACTION.

Remember, because I’m paying you $10 into your PayPal account, you have absolutely nothing to lose. You can get started for free right now.

If you have any questions or comments please leave your thoughts in the comments section below or email me directly.

I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your dreams for 2010!

This is probably a question that gets asked all too often, and for good reason, really. There’s many people looking to work from home, and finding legitimate opportunities can be a downright pain. It doesn’t have to be, though.

I just wrote a recent article: Legitimate Work From Home Jobs – Where to Find Them providing some simple steps you can take right now.

It’s going to be a time-consuming process, as you need to define your goals, needs and interests. These should all line up with the job you’re interested in. There are literally thousands of opportunities out there, both offline and online. It’s not something you want to rush into.

Here’s a short story about how I started working online (If you even care lol)…

5 years ago when I was working a full-time job, I had the desire to work for myself. I knew people were making money online, so I started searching for jobs or opportunities. I used search engines like Google and MSN (at the time) and looked at hundreds of results.

I eventually came across the Plug-In Profit Site (my affiliate link) which introduced me to affiliate marketing. I haven’t looked back since. Just a year and a half ago I decided to venture into proofreading and re-writing, as I felt I had a natural skill for those things.

Both affiliate marketing and proofreading/re-writing are something I’m highly interested in and have a passion for. This is essential when looking to work from home.

CpaIn one of my previous posts about working from home with affiliate marketing, I talked about how affiliate marketing is the easiest way to get started making money online.

This post is going to cover a way in which you can start generating money with affiliate marketing without having to actually sell anything. Interested? You should be. You can earn a decent amount of money from your web traffic by promoting CPA ads.

CPA stands for Cost Per Action. The way CPA ads work is that you promote a particular ad or ads that are related to the content and niche of your site.  CPA ads can be found for practically any niche you’re in.

When someone comes to your site and sees a link to a product or service you’re promoting for a CPA network, and they click on the link, they’ll be taken to the owner’s site for that offer. Your affiliate ID will be included.

Here’s the best part. All that person has to do is take some sort of ACTION. This action doesn’t involve actually buying anything. If the person is interested in the offer and fills out a form to learn more, you automatically get credited for the sign-up. This earns you a set commission into your account for that CPA affiliate network.

The commission earned for each sign-up can range from $1 to $3. If a sale is generated, the commissions can be $20 all the way up to $60 or more, depending on the offer.

Here’s an example…

You’re promoting a survey site for a reputable company, and they’re paying $3 per lead. Someone comes to your site, sees the ad and clicks on the link. They go to the survey site and read over the offer. There’s a form that requests their name and email address so they can be sent further information (which is how leads are generated). They fill out the form, and you’re automatically credited with $3.

It’s that simple. You don’t have to sell anything at all. Although, the money you can earn is a lot more if you do make a sale on top a lead.

Here’s a tip: The shorter the form is, the more likely someone is going to fill it out. So, try to find offers that only have one or two lines for them to fill in. If you can’t, don’t worry, if it’s a good offer it may convert just as well. It all comes down to testing different offers.

Here are the two CPA Affiliate Networks that I use and earn money from:

MaxBounty

Responsive Data

I just want to note that getting approved for CPA affiliate networks can be a little tricky. If you decide to sign up for one of these and run into any problems, just let me know, and I’ll help you out.

Also, both of these companies have the option to be paid directly to your PayPal account, which is very nice.

Do you use CPA affiliate networks to earn money? What companies do you use? How are you doing with them? Share your comments below…

By now you should know that affiliate marketing is the easiest way to start making money online. If you didn’t know that… you do now. :)

Why is it so easy?

You don’t need your own product or service. Simply promote someone else’s product or service and earn a commission when you  make a sale. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people are earning automated income using affiliate marketing, including myself.

The best way to earn money online is to automate the process. How do you do that? Simple. You start up a website which takes some initial work. Then you build traffic to your site by marketing and promoting it, which also takes some work. If you’ve done your marketing correctly, your website will see a continuous flow of traffic.

If you’ve targeted this traffic correctly, then this traffic should be interested in the products you’re promoting on your site. Of course, your site needs to have a lot of great content as well.

Notice how everything is dependent on doing things correctly. You can waste a lot of time and effort by doing things the wrong way. I’m here to help if you have any questions about anything, so don’t be afraid to ask.

With affiliate marketing, you can set up a site or blog geared towards a specific niche, choose a few products related to that niche, and be ready to sell within hours. There’s no other business model that allows you to be “in business” that quickly.

The cost to get started is very minimal as well. Contrary to a traditional offline business where you have to buy a building and the land it’s on, an online business only requires a domain name and web hosting.

This makes affiliate marketing ideal for many people who don’t have much money to spare. For as little as 7.95 per month and $9.99 a year, which is what I pay for my web hosting and domain, you can have your own online business. The return can be so much more.

That’s really a small price to pay when you consider that with just one affiliate sale, you can double your money back.

If you think this whole affiliate marketing thing is too complicated, trust me, it isn’t. And, as I already mentioned, you can contact me anytime if you want my help.

There’s no reason why you can’t start making money with affiliate marketing today. The only one holding you back is yourself. If you have a burning desire, then go for it!

If you’re ready to get started, may I suggest the domain and web hosting that I use:

Register your domain name with NameCheap and then set up your web hosting with HostGator. Again, I can help you with this.

Also, those are my affiliate links, and I will be compensated if you take my advice. But hey, I wouldn’t recommend them if I didn’t believe in them. Afterall, I use them to host this blog and manage this domain name.

Take that first step today to change your tomorrow…

If you’re a blogger and/or affiliate marketer and you live in the United States, then you’re probably aware of the new Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations that will go into affect December 1, 2009. That’s in less than 4 hours from now, by the way.

Here’s the official release of the new regulations on the FTC website: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2009/10/endortest.shtm

I’m a blogger (obviously) and an affiliate marketer AND I live in the U.S., so I needed to listen up to these new changes and how they were going to effect how I do business.

When these new regulations first came out, there was a lot of confusion and not many people knew exactly what needed to be changed to be in compliance. I’ll be honest, I was very confused myself, and I still am, kind of. Maybe you were in the same boat, or still am. If you are, that’s good because I’m going to provide you with everything you need to know. Well, I’ll provide you with the links that will provide you with everything you need to know. ;)

I wanted to get the facts about what I needed to change, if anything, so I wouldn’t become non-compliant and get in trouble with the FTC. That would be a very bad thing. I want to avoid this at all cost because it can be costly if the FTC comes after you.

After reading Peter Lee’s blog post on the New FTC Guidelines, I was just left with a million questions because everything was left up in the air. There weren’t any definitive answers, and that wasn’t Peter’s fault by any means. No one was sure at that point.

After a couple weeks or so, I finally started getting answers. I found a couple of resources that I found very helpful in getting some concrete answers. The first resource is an interview that Jim Edwards did with Mr. Rich Cleland, Assistant Deputy at The Federal Trade Commission. I took the time to listen to the interview. It’s lengthy but worth every second of it.

Listening to this FTC Interview is a must if you want the facts about what these new regulations entail and how they’re going to affect you as a blogger and affiliate marketer.

Another great resource I found through Twitter is: http://www.clicknewz.com/?s=ftc

Here’s one more from Mike Young’s Internet Law blog: http://mikeyounglaw.com/wp/2009/10/16/testimonials-federal-trade-commission-ftc-websites/

These resources should give you the information you need to stay FTC compliant in your blogging, affiliate marketing or online business venture.

What do you think about the new FTC regulations? Do you agree with them? What do you like or not like about these new regulations? Share your thoughts below…

It is no secret that the vast majority of those who start a Internet home business become frustrated. It has been said that roughly 95% of affiliate marketers will either make no money or lose money and give up. However, there are many people who make a comfortable living from the Internet and a select few who make a fortune.

The vast majority of the people who are making money on the Internet, to include the so called gurus, are just regular people. They are not some kind of super geniuses, and many of them have struggled and been frustrated at some point with their own Internet home business. These ordinary people have succeeded with no special training, and if they can, so can you.

If the vast majority of the those who succeed with a Internet home business are just average people, then why are they so successful? The top colleges do not offer a major in affiliate marketing, and yet so many people are making money even in this current economy. What makes these people so successful while so many others fail?

The key difference is those who are successful with their affiliate marketing are focused and organized. It may seem pretty basic, but that is it. The tools needed to succeed are both plentiful and free for anyone with a computer. However, organizational skills and staying focused are skills that are not easily learned.

Many who join affiliate marketing or start a Internet home business have the misconception that there is little work to do and money will instantly come flowing in. Another segment of those who begin affiliate marketing realize there is work to do and then become overwhelmed trying every marketing method they come across and try every affiliate program they see. Eventually most become frustrated and blame Internet marketing as a whole and not their own lack of organization skills.

Those who are successful realized the importance of first understanding what it is they want to accomplish with their Internet home business and then made monthly goals to work towards. By understanding the what, it is now easier to focus on the how.

Rather than jump from program to program, the successful affiliate marketer will first focus on one or two affiliate marketing programs and then learn how to successfully market them.

Having a daily, weekly, and monthly list of what needs to be accomplished will help many to stay organized and to avoid distractions. It is easy to click that advertisement for the next chance to make money and lose your focus. The successful affiliate marketer knows this and focuses on the daily task and the long term goal.

It is not rocket science to be successful with your Internet home business, it just takes organization skills and staying focused on your daily and long term goals.

Does this story sound familiar? Are you over 40 and out of work? Don’t know what to do next?

Just a few years ago I took the some say crazy decision to leave the corporate world and set up my own business. I climbed the ladder through the organization and was earning a big salary plus the usual benefits such as car allowance, health insurance and pension. The company had set up a franchised operation and like many people, I’d often wondered about being my own boss and running my own company. This seemed like the perfect chance, a business out of a box so to speak. I was sure I’d never get another chance like this again so I decided to go for it.

For three years the business boomed and I have to say that had things continued as they were set up from the start, I’d still be doing it today. Problem was though, that as a franchisee, the franchiser called too many of the shots and wasn’t long before the revenues started to reduce as a result of commission cuts. It was around this time that the opportunity to sell the business presented itself and so that’s what I did.

This left me with some money to reinvest but it certainly wasn’t enough to retire on so I got involved in a consultancy organization but ended up losing a small fortune. I won’t bore you with the details, but as a result I found myself back on the job market and was fortunate enough to land myself a management position in a small family run business. Fast forward to 2008 and crunch, the business could no longer afford me and here I was over 40 years old, out of work and wondering what am I going to do next.

If you’re over 40 and unemployed, no matter how skilled you are, finding employment is going to be very tough indeed. Despite legislation, potential employers will think that you’re too expensive, too old and lacking in the drive that perhaps you had 15 years before.

Like many of you reading this, I looked to the internet in an effort to try and find a new opportunity. One where I could work from home and not have to outlay loads of money to get some kind of return. There are a huge number of make money online schemes out there and as I dabbled with affiliate marketing in the past I was sure I could sort the wheat from the chaff and find a program that could help me become a successful affiliate marketer. You can have a look here at some of the programs that I considered as someone over 40 unemployed and looking to make money online.

I signed up with Wealthy Affiliate University after a great deal of research and have found that the resources, tutorials and research tools are everything you need to get started as a budding internet marketer. Find out more if you’re over 40 and out of work here. Good luck and I hope it works for you!

Grab competent points of view for web traffic – welcome to your individual guide.

In affiliate marketing, there are many ways in which you can increase your earnings and maintain the account that you have worked so hard for already. Most of the techniques and tactics can be learned easily. No need to go anywhere and any further. They are available online, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

One of the more important ways of increasing your affiliate marketing business bottom line and sales is through the use of product recommendations. Many marketers know that this is one of the most effective ways in promoting a certain product.

If the customers or visitors trust you enough, then they will definitely trust your recommendations. Be very careful in using this approach, though. If you start promoting everything by recommendation, your credibility will actually wear thin. This is seen especially when recommendations are seemingly exaggerated and without much merit.

Do not be afraid to mention things that you do not like about a given product or service. Rather than lose any points for you, this will make your recommendation more realistic and will tend to increase your credibility.

Furthermore, if your visitors are really interested in what you are offering, they will be more than delighted to learn what is good about the product, what is not so good, and how the product will benefit them.

When you are recommending a certain product, there are some things to remember on how to make it work effectively and for your advantage.

Sound like the true and leading expert in your field.

Remember this simple equation: Price resistance diminishes in direct proportion to trust. If your visitors feel and believe that you are an expert in your niche, they are more inclined to making that purchase. On the other hand, if you are not exuding any confidence and self-assurance in endorsing your products, they will probably feel that same way and will go in search of another product or service which is more believable.

How do you establish this aura of expertise? By offering unique and new solutions they would not get anywhere else. Show proof that what you are promoting works as promised. Display prominent testimonials and endorsements from respected and known personalities, in related fields of course.

Avoid hype at all costs. It is better to sound low key and confident, than to scream and seek attention. Besides, you would not want to sound unprofessional and have that thinking stick to your potential customers and clients, now would you? Best to appear cool and self-assured at the same time.

And remember, prospects are not stupid. They are actually turning to experts and may already know the things that you know. If you back up your claims with hard facts and data, they would gladly put down hundreds, or even thousands worth of money to your promotions. But if you don’t, they are smart enough to try and look at your competitors and what they are offering.

While recommending a product, it is also important that you give out promotional freebies. People are already familiar with the concept of offering freebies to promoting your own products. But very few people do this to promote affiliate products. Try to offer freebies that can promote or even have some information about your products or services.

Before you add recommendations to you product, it is given that you should try and test the product and support. Do not run the risk of promoting junk products and services. Just think how long it took you to build credibility and trust among your visitors. All that will take to destroy it is one big mistake on your part.

If possible, have recommendations of products that you have 100% confidence in. Test the product support before you begin to ensure that the people you are referring it to would not be left high and dry when a problem suddenly arouse.

Have a look at your affiliate market and look at the strategies you are using. You may not be focusing on the recommendations that your products need to have. You plan of action is sometimes not the only thing that is making your program works.

Try product recommendation and be among those few who have proven its worth.
