DMOZ is dead. Submitting a website there is a complete waste of time these days. Plus, the value placed on a backlink from there is pretty much zilch.

If your Squidoo lenses are indexed, then most likely the links are being counted.

They are mostly forum profiles. Only a small percentage of sites remove links, so I feel it’s still worth the effort. The links are on high PR sites.

Yes, you must register with each site. I keep a spreadsheet file to keep track of all the sites and log-in details. It usually takes anywhere from 2 – 3 hours to do, so it’s really not that bad.
