June proved to be a very busy month, albeit bringing in the highest recorded monthly income yet. Income from Angela’s Backlinks, Yarie, and the newest CPA added to my site, AdFish, have all seen record highs. I was very pleased with how things turned out, and July so far is following a similar path. Here’s my total online income from last month…

Income from ReplaceYourSalary.com

Total = $403.48

Income from Internet Marketing Services

It’s been a pleasure to be able to work for a highly successful internet marketer. I’m able to learn from and apply the same strategies to my online business, all of which I’ve blogged about here at one time or another.

Total = $160

Income from Proofreading/Re-writing/Editing Services

As I said previously, I’ve gotten a decent amount of freelancing work last month. It’s great to be able to provide a high quality and much needed service, and it’s been an honor serving my clients. You can learn more by visiting the link below.

Total = $40

Income from Re-writing Service via David Hurley’s PLR Article Service Membership

It has been an honor to be able to partner with David, a good online friend of mine, and provide the re-writing portion of his article membership. To learn more about his PLR article service, visit the link above.

Total = $57.50

Total online income from all sources…

$660.98

As promised yesterday, here’s the list of May’s awesome blog posts that you may not have gotten a chance to check out or comment on. BTW, there’s only 9 days left for a chance to win in this month’s comment contest, so check out these posts and get commenting!

Without further ado, here they are:

Free Teleseminar – Learn How To Build A Profitable Business In Today’s Economy – This post will be updated whenever there is a new teleseminar scheduled. Right now you can register for the one on June 23rd.

5 Things to Consider Before Publishing a Guest Post on Your Blog

My Blog Guest – An Active Community of Guest Bloggers and Blog Owners

Don’t Make The Same Stupid Mistake I Made… Seriously! – You definitely want to check this post out… One of my toughest website lessons ever learned is talked about here. Don’t let happen to you what happened to me.

Where Do You Get Images and Photos For Your Website or Blog?

There you have it. If you haven’t yet checked these posts out then I invite you to do so.

Don’t forget… The comment contest ends on June 30th at whatever time at night I check the list for the final time. Right now Cebu is commanding a strong lead with Mici close behind. It’s anyone’s game at this point. Don’t give up now!

June is underway, and I’m excited to announce the first ever comment contest on this blog.

It’s been a long time coming, and I believe it’s time to start rewarding my faithful readers who take the time to comment and leave their feedback on my posts. Of course, I hope to bring in new readers as well and keep them coming back. :)

Contest Prizes

Prize winnings include (in no particular order):

1. $25 cash prize offered by Dennis Edell.

2. One-month banner ad (125X125) provided by Peter Lee, plus 10 free .edu backlinks package.

3 & 4. One-month free membership to David Hurley’s Internet Marketing Articles PLR site, offered by David Hurley and myself.

2 separate winners will each get one month free membership access. The membership fee will be refunded to you in full through PayPal by myself after your purchase. More details will be provided to the winners.

5. One-month link or banner ad on the home page of ReplaceYourSalary.com. Link will be “do follow.”

Contest Rundown

Winning is very easy and only requires that you comment regularly on this blog to have a chance to win.

Simply put, be on the “Top Readers” list at the end of June, and you’ll win one of the prizes mentioned above. The first-place winner will get to choose his/her prize. The rest of the winners will be awarded the remaining prizes in the order listed, as well as the order in which you won.

To know if you’re on the “Top Readers” list, you can find it on the right side-bar between NetworkedBlogs and Useful Links. It lists the top 5 commentators throughout the entire month, so as long as you’re on the list when I check it on June 30th, you’ll win.

Don’t quite understand how it works? Leave a comment below.

BONUS:

Now, here’s where it gets really fun. Everyone has a chance to win the bonus, so listen up.

Since this is my very first comment contest, I’d really like to get the word out about it, and I need your help.

Anyone that spreads the word about the contest and provides proof of doing so, you will receive a permanent link with your chosen anchor text on the winning results post that will follow the end of the contest.

It doesn’t matter how you go about spreading the word, just make sure that any and all links point back to this post.

Comment Rules

Unfortunately, my blog gets quite a bit of spam and useless comments. Many never see the light of day.

I don’t quite have a comment policy in place yet; although, I’ve been implementing it since the beginning, and I’m going to be cracking down even more now that the contest is underway.

In order for your comments to count, you’ll need to follow these 2 simple rules:

1. Use a REAL name. I have KeywordLuv installed so that you can use your “name @ keywords” in the name field when leaving a comment (first name is fine). I ask that you please respect this.

Or…

You can leave your name at the bottom of your comment. Either way is fine, but you must include your real name. If I don’t see your real name, your comment will be deleted without thinking twice. Sorry, but like I said, I get a lot of comment spam.

2. Provide value. Along the lines of comment spam, if your comment provides absolutely no value whatsoever, then poof, your comment will be deleted without warning. This will be heavily enforced, maybe even more so than rule #1.

I can’t stand stupid little “hey, nice post” type comments. Most of you will know what I mean by this. What I’m looking for are comments that add to the discussion in some way, provide your own thoughts on the issue, etc. Actually taking the time to leave a meaningful comment will go along way and only benefit you.

OK, that’s it! You have the details, now start commenting.

Note: if you want to make sure you never miss an update on my blog, you may want to subscribe to my RSS Feed. Just sayin’. ;)

Thanks!

April turned out to be a pretty good month. I received an increase in proofreading and re-writing work, which I was very happy about. Those are two things I thoroughly enjoy doing, apart from running this website and earning passive income from multiple sources.

Let’s get right into it…

Income from ReplaceYourSalary.com

Total = $301.29

Income from Internet Marketing Services

It’s been a pleasure to be able to work for a highly successful internet marketer. I’m able to learn from and apply the same strategies to my online business, all of which I’ve blogged about here at one time or another.

Total = $160

Income from Proofreading/Re-writing/Editing Services

As I said previously, I’ve gotten a decent amount of freelancing work last month. It’s great to be able to provide a high quality and much needed service, and it’s been an honor serving my clients. You can learn more by visiting the link below.

Total = $96

Income from Re-writing Service via David Hurley’s PLR Article Service Membership

It has been an honor to be able to partner with David, a good online friend of mine, and provide the re-writing portion of his article membership. To learn more about his PLR article service, visit the link above.

Total = $57.50

Total online income from all sources…

$614.79

April turned out to be my best month yet since I began my online business venture.  If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s to never give up. Giving up is very easy to do, but sticking with it when things seem impossible is where the real character lies.

I’ve been talking a lot lately about Guest Blogging, providing both perspectives on the issue; from the guest blogger perspective, with The “Holy Grail” of Guest Blogging Tips, and from the blog owner perspective, with 5 Things to Consider Before Publishing a Guest Post on Your Blog.

Now, I’ve been thinking of a way to wrap up this series, and I think I found the perfect solution, or rather, it found me.

After my first guest blogging post, I was contacted by Ann Smarty of SEOSmarty.com. Ann wanted to invite me to her new project, MyBlogGuest.com, which is a forum-based website that helps connect guest bloggers and blog owners all in one place.

I immediately thought… this is the perfect resource! This is exactly what I was looking for, not only for you my readers, but also for myself as I plan to do my own fair share of guest posting.

Let’s face it, finding relevant guest bloggers or blog owners can be time-consuming. Wouldn’t it be easier and quicker if you could showcase your blog with the most pertinent information about it (and yourself), and then people can come to you, and vice versa?

I think Ann is onto something here with her new project, and I’d like to invite you to check it out as well. Signing up takes just a minute, and there’s no upsell to worry about it. Of course, Ann does offer a premium membership in which you can upgrade at any time. But again, she’s not going to bug you about it, ever. Something I can truly respect.

Once you login you’ll be taken to the main forum page, which looks like this…

blog-guest-screen-cap

At this time you’ll be prompted to enter information about yourself and your blog. You’ll be able to include links to your sites, tags to help people find you, some social sites that people can find you on, and an Avatar so people can see who you are. You’ll also be able to add your Blogging Experience in which you can share about yourself, what you do and what experience you have with blogging. There is even room to set up a forum signature if you wish.

I haven’t gotten a chance to visit the different threads or post in the forum yet, but looking at the numbers I’d say there’s a pretty active community of bloggers.

It’s definitely worth checking out if you’d like to find relevant blogs to guest post on or find guest bloggers for your own blog.

Go ahead… sign up and see what it’s like.

Then, add your own thoughts about MyBlogGuest in the comments below.

Affiliate Power GroupIn my previous post, I briefly mentioned about the importance of having a mentor or group of mentors that can guide you on the path to online business success. One of my loyal blog readers, Dennis Edell, pointed out that all successful people (especially the top 1%) have a mentor. Well, I don’t know that I’d consider myself successful (financial wise), nor am I in the top 1%, but I do have a group of mentors that have helped me out tremendously in learning affiliate marketing.

The reason for this post is to introduce you to the group of mentors I’ve had the privilege of working with. What’s unique, I believe, is that they’ve been open to helping ANYONE who is either new to affiliate marketing, struggling to make money, or looking to take their online business to the next level. There’s not too many successful internet marketers that are willing to work one-on-one with people, as pointed out by Meka, another reader of this blog.

Of course, they can’t literally work one-on-one with every single person, but I think they got a pretty good setup in place. They have a membership site designed specifically for people who want to get into affiliate marketing by setting up niche blogs. This is certainly the starting point in which anyone who is serious should take in order to start earning some extra income online.

The membership site provides an outline and step-by-step action plan to follow, from planning, getting your website set up, marketing/advertising, optimizing and bringing in a residual and passive income month after month. The mentors who started this membership site all are regular people just like you and me who had a desire to be their own boss and work from home. They saw an opportunity and did everything they could to see their dreams become a reality. They call themselves the Affiliate Power Group.

The mentors have been successfully working from home with affiliate marketing full-time for a number of years and are now sharing their experience and knowledge with the rest of us. That’s my main goal and purpose of this blog. I just love helping people and giving back, and it’s obvious that they’re very willing to do the same.

The great thing about the Affiliate Power Group is that they have a built-in forum (just updated) where you can ask questions and get direct answers from the mentors as well as other members. This is where the one-on-one attention is created because you have direct access to each mentor at anytime. You can also email or message any of the members directly for specific questions if you prefer.

As I also mentioned in my previous post, being able to have direct communication with those who are successful in your field will give you the edge you need to become successful yourself. It helps you grow mentally and provides personal development needed to turn that “hobby” of a website into a real online business. I’m not saying you have to go spend $1,000 to form an LLC, but you have to realize that creating a successful online business takes a lot of hard work and persistence. If you treat it like a real business, it’ll reward you as such. That’s something that took me a long time to realize, which is why I’m still not where I want to be yet.

Affiliate Power Group is able to help anyone just starting out, struggling to make money or trying to take their affiliate marketing business to the next level.  You can give their affiliate marketing training a try for just $1. $1 will give you access to the entire membership site plus all the bonuses. This is a huge deal, and I know once you see the value you’ll receive, you’ll want to continue your membership.

The total cost of the membership is very undervalued. Although, I like to look at it as the mentors over-delivering, which is really what they do. Seriously, learn the business or take yours to the next level for just $1 today. You won’t be disappointed.

snow covered woodsIt’s December already, and we just got our first snowfall of the season. I took this picture with my cell phone while hunting this morning. The snow was coming down hard, but you can’t tell. There was already about an inch of snow after an hour and a half.

I like this time of year, although it can sometimes get too cold.

I’ve been very busy lately, so the amount of posts I made last month were very few. If you happened to miss one you’ll find it below.

Thanks for being a reader of my blog, and I hope you’ll find what you’re looking for. If you have any ideas or would like me to blog about something, just let me know. :)

Social media is a great way to get the word out about what you do. It helps build your brand and bring awareness to your online business, products and services. I’m a member of various social networking sites, and I want to invite all of you to join me. There’s some you may not have ever heard of before.

The site that I spend the most time on is Facebook. I’m a huge fan of the site. There’s many networking aspects of the site that you can use to bring awareness to your business, so that’s a huge plus. I use my account for both personal and business. This allows you to see who I really am and helps me to be more transparent and open to everyone. Become my friend on Facebook and get a peek into my personal life and also get to know more about me.

Follow me on Twitter. I don’t spend a whole lot of time on Twitter, but I do find it useful to find resources from others that I follow. If you follow me, I’ll follow you back, assuming you’re not a spammer. Also, I never reply or even read my Direct Messages (DM’s), so if you want to get my attention on Twitter, @ reply me, and I’ll get back to you.

If you like making useful videos, then hit me up on YouTube. I don’t have much time to make a lot of videos, but I’ll slowly be getting more out eventually. I like watching videos that provide real and useful content that I can learn from. If you subscribe to my channel, I’ll subscribe back.

Here’s some other sites you can find me at:

Sokule – Just like Twitter, but you can make money.

DirectMatches – The largest business networking site. You can also make a good bit of money from this site.

LinkedIn

I’d love to have you network with me on these sites, so if you’re a member or want to become a member, just sign up and send a friend request to me. :)

Last month went by very quickly. Luckily for you I was able to get quite a few blog posts written. I hope you enjoyed them all and learned a thing or two. In case you missed any, you can check out last month’s blog posts in this blog post roundup.

If you’ve ever wanted a legitimate way to use Twitter to make money, then this is it. The site is called Sokule and literally stands for “so cool.”

From what I’ve seen so far, it really is SO KULE!

There’s been attempts to monetize Twitter before, and there are some sites that post ads to your twitter account while paying your for those posts. The problem is that it junks up Twitter and could potentially turn your followers against you if they figure out what’s going on.

So, those methods of making money aren’t very reliable and may not last long at all. Heck, Twitter themselves haven’t even monetized the site.

What Sokule does is really very “kule” in the way you earn money. Instead of posting ads on Twitter through your account, you earn money through the Sokule site instead.

Sokule is almost identical to Twitter in that you post 140 characters for your “followers” to see. Followers on Sokule are called Trackers. In reality, you’re making money using Sokule, but it also utilized Twitter. Let me explain.

Sokule is just like Twitter where you make posts and get “followers” and also “follow” others. But, posting on Sokule will also make that same post to Twitter for you, once you set it up. And, the post on Twitter will contain a link at the end that points to your Sokule page.

See how “kule” this is? It get’s better because Sokule let’s you monetize your page, allowing you to post affiliate links, program links, videos and ads. This is one way you make money.

Sokule also has different levels of membership. With Sokule’s affiliate program, when you refer other members to the site, you can earn money if they sign up for a paid membership. Sign up is free, but the paid memberships offer a lot more than just the free membership. I highly recommend the paid membership if you want to really take full advantage of what Sokule offers.

There’s more I can say, but just go to Sokule and check it out for yourself. View the benefits between the free and paid memberships and see which would be a better fit for you.

As always, I’d love to read your comments. So leave them below. :)
