The "Big Easy"... and the Bigger Picture

I got back a couple of weeks ago after spening 2 weeks in New Orleans. I volunteered with a group of builders from New York, known as the NYS-FITS+. It was a great experience and a lot fun. I made new friends and built relationships during my time down south. It is a rewarding experience to help someone else in need, and work with others in a coordinated effort to make a difference.

That same mindset can be brought into the business aspect. I believe in helping people and sharing knowledge with others. That is what this business is all about. Being part of a team and working together... and helping one another become successful. That is truly the bigger picture and what I strive to work towards as I grow my business.

I learned a lot over the past month and hopefully can apply it to my business practice. The amount of wisdom, aka older people, that I was surrounded by gave me not only knowledge but also confidence and determination. No matter what other people say or how hard it is to become accomplished, I have learned to never give up. The only boundries are the ones that we place around us. We, in essence, are our own worst enemy. We must learn to take a step back and not let ourselves interfere and get in the way of our goals and dreams. This is what I have learned, and I hope you have learned something as well.
